Given the fact that the media now reports what other media report, sometimes even with headlines on the sports page and/or the announcement of press conferences that were obviously not scheduled, I am going to comment one time and one time only.

No one has asked to speak to any ECU head coach. I specifically say head coach simply because the request for permission to speak to an assistant coach would be directed to the head coach of that sport.

I will not make any further comment on this issue nor will any ECU coach address such situations. There is simply no reason for anyone at one institution to say anything about another institution's search for a coach. A coach should not be expected to say she/he has no interest in a position at another institution if, for no other reason, than it is not fair to the institution conducting the search.
