The Pirate Club will host two new functions on Feb. 25 and Feb. 28

Feb. 17, 2009

Dear Pirate Club Member:

The Pirate Club is hosting two unique functions on February 25 and February 28 prior to the basketball games on those nights. Announcements of these events have been sent to the Pirate Club members in contiguous counties but we also wanted to alert other Pirate Club members to these opportunities as well as answer some of the questions we have received about the events.

  • Both events will be on the Club Level at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and are open to Pirate Club members from any chapter on a first come/first served basis.

  • You may attend both events although the program will be the same for both events. Terry Holland will introduce Skip Holtz, who will speak along with several players before all will be available for questions from the audience.

  • The cost for each person is $10, which includes a game ticket if you do not already have a ticket to the game. Parker's Restaurant will be the caterer for both events.

  • The program will begin at 5:45 sharp both evenings and will end at 6:45. The serving lines will open at 4:30 (instead of 5) each evening. Come early and visit with other good Pirates and staff members if you can. We will also reopen the serving lines after the program for those who may have been running a little late.

The major purpose for adding these two new events to the Pirate Armada Spring Calendar is to ensure that every Pirate Club member has an opportunity to attend a Pirate Club event and to hear Coach Holtz speak at a very reasonable price. As we travel throughout the state, the cost of events varies considerably and many members have conflicts on the evening their particular chapter meets.

These events should also help support our young basketball team at their two remaining home Conference USA games.

The Harvey Hall events (open only to season ticket holders at the Golden Pirate level and above) will continue on both evenings as well and have been a huge success this year. Doors will open at 5:30 each night at that venue.

So make your plans now to be part of this new tradition - visit with Coach Holtz and football players and then help Coach Mack develop some momentum going into the C-USA Tournament.

CALL (252) 737-4540 OR E-MAIL Shannon Padrick TO RESERVE PLACES FOR YOU AND YOUR GUESTS TODAY!

    GO PIRATES!
