ECU Student-Athletes Honored With C-USA Academic Medal

GREENVILLE, N.C. - A total of 47 East Carolina student-athletes have earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal during the 2010-11 academic year, league officials announced today. The medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.

The women's soccer and volleyball team each had six student-athletes earn a medal, while the baseball and football team each had five medal recipients.

A total of 487 student-athletes who compete in Conference USA were medal recipients. Tulsa had the most academic medal winners with 57, followed closely by Memphis with 56 and East Carolina with. The number of medalists honored increased by more than seven percent from a year ago. the following is a complete list of the Pirates' medal winners:
