Aug. 17, 2012

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Curtis Media Group and the Pirate IMG Sports Network have renewed an agreement for Raleigh's WPTK-AM 850 to bring live play-by-play coverage of East Carolina football action to the Triangle this fall.

Additionally, the 10,000-watt station owned by CMG also agreed to carry the weekly Ruffin McNeill Radio Call-in Show, becoming the ninth affiliate of the Pirate IMG Radio Network to air the popular Tuesday night broadcast.

McNeill, in his third season as ECU's head coach, and host Jeff Charles will make their 2012 debut on Aug. 28 at 7:00 p.m. from Logan's Roadhouse in Greenville. The show features in-depth game-by-game analysis from McNeill and a question-and-answer segment for fans each week throughout the season. The show is also available online to ECU Total Access subscribers at ECUPirates.com and can be heard locally for the fifth-straight year on the network's flagship station - WNCT 107.9 FM in Greenville.

The Pirates will open the 2012 campaign at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium on Sept. 1 at 12 noon when it hosts Appalachian State. Ticket information is available online via ECUPirates.com or by calling the ticket office at (252) 737-4500.
