Pirate fans can purchase and donate tickets for the Sheraton Bowl to military personnel in the islands.

Dec. 10, 2007

As the Pirates prepare for their clash against Boise State in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl on Dec. 23, please consider purchasing tickets to help send local Hawai'i-based military personnel and their families to Aloha Stadium to cheer for the Pirates!

Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl officials are cooperating with the United States Pacific Command to identify deserving marines, sailors, soldiers, airmen and their dependents who are not traveling home stateside for the holidays. Every ticket that is purchased during our "Tickets For Troops" effort will be matched ticket for ticket by East Carolina University and Conference USA.

As an added treat for troops and families who show up at Aloha Stadium and sit in designated East Carolina sections, International Sports Properties (ISP) will be providing 1,000 purple and gold pompons that will be distributed in the stadium the day of the game.

Pirate fans who buy tickets designated for the troops will receive a commemorative 2007 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl ticket for their donations.

To contribute to the "TICKETS FOR TROOPS" effort, go online to the 2007 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl Ticket Donation link or call 1-800-DIAL-ECU.

Please monitor our progress by following the donation ticker on www.ecupirates.com. Thanks for helping us paint the holidays purple for our troops in the islands!

Deadline to donate: 5:00 p.m. (EST), Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 to guarantee recipient delivery in time for the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl game featuring East Carolina and Boise State.
