John Tudor joins six former members of ECU's swimming and diving program in the
Athletics Hall of Fame after an outstanding career from 1975-1979.
A four-year letterwinner, Tudor won six Southern Conference championships during
his career and 10 ECAC championships. In addition, Tudor qualified for the NCAA
championships four consecutive years and was an Olympic Trial qualifier in the 200
freestyle in 1980.
Following his ECU career, Tudor had an outstanding Masters career where he won
seven medals in the 1985 and 1987 Masters World Championships. In 1987, he
ranked first in the world in the 50 freestyle and was voted the top make U.S. swimmer
in the 25-29 age group.
