ECU Women's Basketball To Compete In 2016 Savannah Invitational

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The East Carolina women's basketball team will compete in the 2016 Savannah Invitational as part of its non-conference schedule, according to an announcement by the Savannah Sports Council (SSC) on Thursday.Â
Participating women's teams and conferences along with East Carolina, which are scheduled to play Nov. 22-24, are Auburn (SEC), Ball State (MAC), Marist (MAAC), North Carolina A&T (MEAC) and West Virginia (Big 12). Games will take place at the Savannah Civic Center.
The Pirates will tip off tournament play against Marist on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m., before taking on West Virginia at 4:30 p.m., the following day and Ball State at the same time on Thanksgiving Day.
The ECU men's basketball team will also play two games as part of the Savannah Invitational Nov. 25-26 at the same venue.
Tickets for the women's tournament are $10 for mezzanine seats and $20 for lodge/floor tickets (group, college and military discounts available). Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.savannahinvitational.com, at the Civic Center box office or by calling Etix at (912) 651-6556.
