Men’s Tennis Completes Weekend at ITA Carolina Regional

Durham, N.C. – The ECU men's tennis team had a strong showing at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina Regional this weekend. Kasey Countee and Freddie McGeehan went 2-1 in doubles with wins over South Carolina and Appalachian State.

In singles action, Will Bissett and Vlad Anghel each won their main draw opening matches defeating opponents from NC State and Wofford, respectively.

Heinchon's Thoughts
"Very impressed with our doubles for the event," head coach Shawn Heinchon said. "Especially by Kasey and Freddie. Doubles has been our strong suit in our couple events so far this fall and that continued this past weekend. Our singles results over the weekend were a bit mixed. No one really had any great wins or bad losses. We do need to get some stronger results by our top guys in singles going forward and that's what we will be focusing on for our coming fall tournaments."
