GREENVILLE, N.C. – ECU women's tennis newcomers Alisa Diercksen and Ho-Chiao Hsia both won their singles bracket championships at the Wake Forest University Invitational on Sunday. This marks the first championship for each of the new Pirates while Nastja Rettich placed third in her respective bracket.

In doubles action, Rettich and Hsia reached the finals of the B Doubles consolation bracket and Sarah Sarjoo and Annija Veinsteina reached the C Doubles consolation quarterfinals.

The Pirates return to action Oct. 19-22 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C.
