
ECU Athletics to Host Student Home Run Derby Presented by Gather Uptown

GREENVILLE, N.C. – ECU Athletics is happy to announce the Student Home Run Derby and Organization Fair, presented by Gather Uptown Student Living. The event will be held on Monday, March 19 at 3 p.m. at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium.
ECU students can register to take part in the home run derby on behalf of an active student organization, with a maximum of three representatives per organization. All students must register with Whitney Marks at marksw@ecu.edu by Monday, March 12 at 5 p.m.
Participants will hit from second base and receive ten pitches from a pitching machine. If there is a tie after all participants take the plate, additional rounds will be utilized to determine a champion. The winner will walk away with a commemorative baseball bat.
Concurrent with the Home Run Derby, ECU's Office of Student Activities and Organizations will facilitate a student organization fair inside of Clark-LeClair Stadium. For more information about the fair, please call (252) 737-1808.
The event is open to the public and admission is free. Fans and fellow ECU students are encouraged to come watch.
