Soccer To Play Seven Matches During 2018 Spring Schedule

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU soccer team will take on seven regional opponents during its 2018 spring season, according to an announcement Thursday by first-year head coach Jason Hamilton.

"It will be exciting for our group to compete against these opponents this spring," Hamilton said. "All of these games will be very challenging. This part of the year is always hard because the time between matches is much longer than in the fall. Keeping our focus as a group will be important and pushing each other every day will help us grow this spring."

The slate begins Feb. 25 when the Pirates head to Durham for a contest against Duke. ECU will then travel to Wilmington and Norfolk for matches against UNCW (March 17) and Old Dominion (March 25).

The spring wraps up with a pair of events in April. The Pirates will take on Appalachian State and Wingate during the Twin City Soccer Showcase April 7th before battling VCU and William & Mary April 21st in Richmond, Va.
