RIO GRANDE, PR – Junior Carley Cox (seventh) and sophomore Dorthea Forbrigd (t9th) both recorded Top 10 placements helping No. 38 ECU to a sixth place finish at the 2018 Lady Puerto Rico Classic. Cox, who posted rounds of 75, 71 and 76 for a score of 222 (9-over) registering her third Top 10 finish of the season. Forbrigd shot an 11-over par 224 recording her fourth Top 10 of the year.

We had some tough conditions with 25-30 mph winds, which is something we aren't used to competing in, but we were able to post the third-lowest round Tuesday with a 299. - ECU improved to 75-22 on the season ... It picked up a win over No. 17 Purdue, who was one of seven Top 50 teams in the field.
- Cox registered her sixth career Top 20 placement (fifth of the season) … Stood among the tournament leaders in par-5 scoring (t1st/4.67), par-4 scoring (third/4.18) and total birdies (t4th/8).
- Forbrigd collected her sixth career Top 10 finish and 10th Top 20 … She ranked among the leaders in par-4 scoring (t7th/4.24), par-3 scoring (t9th/3.17) and total pars (t9th/34).
- Sophomore Grace Yatawara participated in her third event of the season finishing 57th with a scored of 241 (28-over par).
