GREENVILLE, N.C. – No. 18 ECU (7-1) continues its six-game home stand this weekend playing host to the 15th Annual LeClair Classic welcoming in Pepperdine (3-5), No. 28 Missouri State (4-2) and Saint Joseph's (1-3) at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium.

MUSTACHE MARCH
• The entire team, including the coaching staff and support staff, will participate in Mustache March in order to raise awareness and money for the Jim "Catfish" Hunter chapter. Mustache March will create a fun and entertaining environment for Pirate fans throughout the month of March, which will also help towards ALS research. Please join our efforts of Striking Out ALS by donating to our event. All money raised throughout the season will go straight to the ALS Association, and more specifically the Jim "Catfish" Hunter chapter. During the 15th-Annual Keith LeClair Classic (Mar. 2-4) members of the local ALS Chapter will be on hand to receive donations. Also, please follow our status through various social media outlets (@ECUBaseball, and many more), as well as on the field. This year ECU will team up with the Memphis baseball program to help fight and strikeout ALS with a goal of raising $7,500. For more information about Mustache March, please click on this link.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS WEEKEND
• ECU owns a 33-9 all-time record in the LeClair Classic and has won the event nine times (2004, 2007-08, 2010, 2013-17) and shared the title once (2006) … Pepperdine (2-1) is making its second appearance in the LeClair Classic, while Missouri State and Saint Joseph's are participating for the first time.
• For the first time this season, ECU enters a game ranked nationally … The Pirates garnered national ranking by three publications early in the week: D1 Baseball (No. 18), National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (No. 25) and Collegiate Baseball (No. 29).
PIRATE QUICK HITS (prior to weekend)
• Trey Benton earned AAC Pitcher-of-the-Week honors (Feb. 26) after striking out a career-best 11 batters against UNC (Feb. 23) in six innings of work for his second win of the season ... In two starts he boasts a 2-0 record with a 1.64 ERA and has 18 Ks to 0 BBs in 11 innings.
• Jake Agnos has worked 5.1 total innings in two starts so far this season ... The lefty has fanned five, walked five and allowed five runs (our earned) on seven hits with a 6.75 ERA.
• Chris Holba earned AAC Honor Roll accolades after picking up his second win of the year at UNC ... He tossed seven scoreless innings with 8 Ks, 2 BBs and 2 Hs caring a no-hitter through 5.1 innings vs. the Tar Heels ... In two starts he has not allowed a run in 11.2 frames and has struck out 16 while waking just two.
• Spencer Brickhouse belted his team-leading third home run vs. UNC (Feb. 24) in Durham, a three-run shot ... He collected four hits and had four RBI in the three-game tilt against the Tar Heels ... With his walk in the eighth inning against ODU, he extended his current on-base streak to 23-straight games ... Has five career game-winning RBI (one in 2018).
• Alec Burleson has started seven games posting a hit in 6 of 7 contests ... He has scored five runs and driven in five ... On the bump, he has appeared in three games (one start) posting a 1-0 record and has allowed one run (unearned) in 6.0 innings with nine strikeouts and three walks.
• Connor Litton leads the team in hits (14) while standing second in average (.467) and total bases (18) ... Collected 6 hits in UNC series (two in each game) ... Registered four-straight multi-hit games (9 during span) and leads the team with five in 2018.
• Brady Lloyd leads ECU with a .500 (9-for-18) average ... Comes into the LeClair Classic riding a six-game hit streak ... At Campbell, he drove in a career-best two runs and registered his second career game-winning RBI with a single in the third inning ... Has three multi-hit games this season.
• Seth Caddell (.214) and Jake Washer (.353) are splitting time behind the plate ... Caddell had a career night at Campbell collecting three hits (two doubles) and scoring a pair of runs ... Washer drove in a career-high 4 runs at UNC (Feb. 25) going 2-for-3 w/2 BBs.
• Dwanya Williams-Sutton is batting .273 on the season with four RBI and a team second-best eight runs ... Tied for team lead in stolen bases (3), while leading in HBP (3).
• ECU's starting pitching is sporting a 2.31 ERA through eight games ... They have allowed 11 runs (9 earned) on 28 hits with 43 strikeouts to just 11 walks while holding opposing hitters to a .222 clip ... The bullpen has allowed 8 runs (7 earned) with 29 strikeouts and 13 walks in 37.0 innings for a 1.70 ERA ... The pen has allowed one inherited to score (3 of 22; 13.6 percent).

GODWIN AT A GLANCE
• Cliff Godwin, who was named the 16th head coach in school history on June 25, 2014, was a four-year letterwinner for the Pirates from 1998-2001 … He has been a part of nine NCAA Regional and two College World Series teams at the Division I level as an assistant coach and head coach …During his three years at the helm of the program, Godwin has guided ECU to a pair of NCAA Regional berths (2015-16), a Super Regional appearance (2016), an American Athletic Conference (2015) Tournament title and a 117-74-1 (.612) overall record … Three players have earned All-America honors, five were named to the Charlottesville All-Regional Team, six took home all-conference honors (five first-teamers), seven were selected as American Player-of-the-Week, while three have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams … Named 2015 AAC Coach-of-the-Year and was inducted into the George Whitfield Hall of Fame in January of 2016 … Recently he was named to the 2018 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team staff where he will serve as the third base and hitting coach … As a player, he helped former ECU skipper Keith LeClair's teams post a 169-76 four-year ledger, including 46-plus wins in each of his final three seasons (16-16 in '99, 46-18 in '00 and 47-13 in '01) … ECU won a pair of CAA Tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Regionals every season from 1999 to 2001 … The Pirates were the top seed in their regional all three years, including a No. 7 national seed in 2001 where they advanced to the Super Regional round before being eliminated by Tennessee.
