GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The ECU lacrosse team opens a five-game home stand with a match-up against Columbia on Saturday, March 17, at Johnson Stadium with the first draw scheduled for 12 noon.
The Pirates (1-8) will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak, while the Lions (2-5) are coming off a 17-5 loss at Cornell on March 10.
Freshman Ally Stanton leads ECU in goals (17) and points (19), scoring multiple goals in five games with a season-high six against Kennesaw State. Nicole LeGar has recorded a pair of hat tricks and ranks second on the team in goals and points with 14 in each category. She has scored a goal in each of the last three games.
The Pirates are averaging 8.78 goals per game, while Columbia is scoring 10.86 goals a contest with both teams yielding over an average of 15 goals each time out.
