RESULT
PHILADELPHIA – Temple outscored ECU by eight in the second half and defeated the Pirates, 15-6, at Howarth Field Tuesday. The Pirates trailed 6-5 at halftime, but the Owls scored the first nine goals of the second half to earn the victory.

GAME FACTS

Nicole LeGar scored three goals for her second hat trick of the season. Ally Stanton scored two goals and Megan Pallozzi provided the other.
Maddie Gebert and amber Lambeth each scored four goals for Temple.
The Owls outshot the Pirates, 36-20 and won 15 of 23 draw controls.
ECU was 2-of-5 on free position shots and Temple was 3-of-8.
ECU goalkeeper Abbey Smith made seven saves and Christina White made two.
Each team was charged with 16 turnovers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After Lambeth scored the first goal of the game for Temple, Legar, Stanton and Pallozzi accounted for the next three to give ECU a 3-1 lead less than 10 minutes into the contest.
The Owls scored five unanswered goals to take a 6-3 lead with 8:09 left until halftime.
Legar and Stanton then scored consecutive goals to pull ECU with one at halftime, 6-5.
Temple scored the first nine goals of the second half to lead 15-5 with 14:55 to play.

ECU will wrap up its Spring Break trip through Pennsylvania Saturday against St. Francis. The first draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.
