PALM COAST, Fla. – ECU carded a second round score of 303 (13-over par) Monday at the 2018 American Women's Golf Championships dropping one spot to fourth. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held at the Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Resort & Golf Club.

Dorthea Forbrigd (144), who fired the only under-par round of the day with a 70, holds a one-shot lead over Houston's Megan Thothong (145). Forbrigd is joined in the Top 10 by teammate Kathryn Carson (148) who was the leader after the first round before a 79 in round two moved her into a tie for eighth – four shots behind Forbrigd.

Carley Cox posted a second round score of 76 (four-over) and is tied for 16th. Rounding out the Pirates roster is Lisa Pettersson (t27/156) and Catherine Ashworth (t41/162).

No. 23 Houston (593/17-over) holds a four-shot lead over Memphis (597/21-over). UCF (598/22-over) is third followed by No. 47 ECU (599/23-over) and Wichita State (618/42-over) rounding out the Top 5.
The third round will begin at 8 a.m. (ET) on Tuesday, April 17.
