Keith Dawley

Keith Dawley begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach at East Carolina University. He joined the Pirate coaching staff this summer after receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina following the 2009 spring semester.

Unable to compete as a senior due to a back injury, Dawley served as a student assistant coach and worked primarily middle distance swimmers. As a junior her competed in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly at the SEC Championships. Dawley transferred to South Carolina at then end of the 2006-07 season from Indiana, where he was a member of the Big Ten champions as a freshman.

A native of Allen, Texas, Dawley was a three-time All-America performer and a four-year all-state and all-regional selection. He was also a Junior National Finalist in the 100 and 200-yard butterfly.
