Coaches Thoughts: Julien was a major piece of the recruiting puzzle on the men's side. He is expected to fill a need for us in the distance free and IM events.

Before ECU: Attended Eastdale C.V.I./Maxwell Heights Secondary School ... Swam for Ajax Swimming under coach Matt Bell ... Competed in four events (200 free, 400 free, 1500 free, 400 IM) at the 2012 Canadian Olympic Trials ... Earned the silver medal in the 800 freestyle at the 2012 Short Course Eastern Canadian Championships ... Was a finalist in six additional events (100 back, 200 back, 200 free, 400 free, 1500 free, 400 IM) ... Captured four medals at the 2011 Long Course Age Group Nationals: 200 free (silver), 800 free (bronze), 1500 free (bronze), 4x50 free relay (gold) ... Competed in the finals of the 200 backstroke as well as the 200 and 400 IM ... Finalist in the 400 freestyle at the 2011 Canadian Summer Nationals and competed in 200, 800, 1500 freestyle ... Holds the Ajax Swimming Club record in the 400, 800 and 1500 freestyle and the 400 IM.
