GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina junior Rokas Cepulis competed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM at the 2014 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. On Saturday, Cepulis finished 31st in the prelims of the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:56.54.
Earlier in the week, Cepulis finished 35th in the 100-yard breaststroke prelims on Friday with a time of 54.06 after recording a personal-best time of 1:47.47 in the 200-yard IM prelims on Thursday. He was the first ECU male swimmer to compete in the NCAA Championships since 1979.
During the week prior, sophomore Megan Sellers competed in the 2014 Women's Swimming and Diving Championships held at the University of Minnesota. Sellers earned a 43rd-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.64.
A trio of divers also qualified for postseason competition with senior Colleen Jones and freshmen Alicia Roueche and Ashley Sams each participating on the one and three-meter springboards at the 2014 NCAA Regional Zone B Championships in Greensboro. The threesome finished 39th, 42nd and 48th in the one-meter competition and 27th, 42nd and 43rd in the three-meter prelims.
