Swimming & Diving Team To Be Profiled on NC Now

Coach Rick Kobe

May 7, 2014

The East Carolina Swimming and Diving program will be featured on UNC-TV's North Carolina Now Thursday, May 8, examining the team's history of success. The program airs at 7:30 p.m.

ECU Head Coach Rick Kobe, who earlier this year became just the sixth coach in NCAA history to win 500 dual meets, reflects on his 32-year career with UNC- TV's Elizabeth Wilder.

The ladies team posted the first undefeated season by any ECU women's team with an 11-0 dual meet record during the 2013-14 campaign. The men's team also recorded their 31st consecutive non-losing season, longest streak by any ECU athletics' team.

Under Kobe's direction, the Pirates have won eight conference championships with 146 individual conference champions and 193 all-conference performers.
