Coyne Named C-USA Diver-Of-The-Week

IRVING, Texas --- ECU junior Meghan Coyne accumulated two first-place finishes as well as setting a venue record at Minges Natatorium on the one-meter board in a dual meet against Davidson to earn Conference USA Diver-of-the-Week honors, which were awarded for the first time this season Wednesday.
It is her seventh career Diver-of-the-Week accolade.
Coyne won both the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions in a dual meet against Davidson Friday, helping the Pirates sweep the Wildcats in their home opener at Minges Natatorium. She also set a venue record on the one-meter board with a score of 319.85 and tallied a first-place score of 312.30 on the three-meter springboard.
She previously qualified for the NCAA Zone Regional in the Pirates' season-opener against North Carolina.
ECU returns to competition Saturday, Oct. 23, with a tri-meet against Georgetown and Towson. The meet is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start in Towson, Md.
