COLUMBIA, S.C. --- The East Carolina men and women's swimming and diving teams concluded the Gamecock Invitational with 114 season bests times established during the four-day meet at the University of South Carolina.

Sophomore Andrew Stoker's first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly highlighted the event with a personal-best time of 1:49.63, 0:00.17 off the school record. Stoker also recorded a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.57.

Stoker joined Roman Sandler, Travis Sauder and Jason Guzewich for a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay.

Junior Thiago Cavalcanti made his NCAA `B' cut in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:26.79 to earn second-place in the event.

A pair of top three finishes by junior Jenna Stewart highlighted the ladies meet. She placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (23.13) and third in the 100-yard freestyle (50.63). Stewart also teamed with Kelsey Brosi, Kali Gaskill and Holly Berenotto for a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Freshman Kayla Ford set both the varsity and freshman record in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:02.11 to claim second-place in the event. Junior Stephanie Harper earned second-place in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.18).

The Pirates also had individuals and relay teams reach the finals in an additional 23 events as the women's team claimed fourth-place and the men took fifth in the final team standings.
