Padgett, Morrow Win Weight Throw on Day One of C-USA Championships

Kayla Padgett wins weight throw with school record mark of 20.03 meters

2012-13 Track & Field: Competed in five 20-pound weight throw events during the Indoor season...Posted her season-best mark of 16.32m (63-06.50) at the Christopher Newport Invitational to place second...Notched a mark of 15.52m (50-11.00) at the C-USA Indoor Championships.

2011-12 Track & Field: Participated in two 20-pound weight throw events with her season-best mark of 12.99m coming at the Christopher Newport Invite for a 10th-place finish...Competed in the shot put, discus and hammer during the Outdoor season...Notched a mark of 10.63m at the Quad Meet in the shot put...Tallied a career-best mark of 43.91m for a 10th-place finish at the C-USA Outdoor Championships in the discus.

2010-11 Track & Field: Specialized in the discus event, producing two top-five finishes...Took second place at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational...Threw a season-high 41.82 meters at Wake Forest.

High School: Earned four varsity letters and served as a team captain during her time at Delaware Valley...Was a four-time first-team all-conference performer, helping the squad to two sectional championships...As a junior, won the conference title in the discus and shot put as well as the sectional and Group 2 championships...Added a conference title in the discus her senior campaign as well as repeat championships in the sectionals and Group 2 meets.
