Track And Field Opens Outdoor Campaign At Wake Forest

Freshman Kayla Padgett wins first career outdoor event title

2010-11: Turned in a season-best vault of 4.60 meters at the Charlotte Invitational, taking second place ... Placed eighth at the C-USA Outdoor Championships ... Competed a total of five times during the outdoor season.

2009-10: Best finish of the season occurred at the C-USA Outdoor Championships, taking sixth-place with a school-record mark of 4.65 meters ... Also finished ninth at the league's indoor meet, recording a vault of 4.61 meters.

High School: Was the MVP at the regional meet his senior season ... Earned the state title in 2009 and was fifth at the national meet ... Picked up four varsity letters in track and field ... Given the Coaches Award and was named the MVP of the field events ... Named the rookie-of-the-year his freshman season ... Never finished out of the top five at any meet on any level.
