Track & Field Continues Hot Start with Another Record-Setting Weekend

The Pirates set five more school records and won four events at the Penn State Nationals

2012-13 Track & Field: Competed in the heptathlon and posted a career-best 4,170 points at the Conference USA Indoor Championships to rank sixth on the ECU Indoor Top 10 List...Earned a sixth-place finish at the SPIRE Invitational after tallying 3,415 points...Finished seventh at the Penn State National with 3,715 points...Set a new heptathlon record in the 60-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 8.65.

High School: Earned three varsity letters in both indoor and outdoor track and field at Manalapan High School...Recorded a personal-record time of 15.20 in the 110-meter hurdles...Notched a new personal-best time of 56.94 in the 400-meter hurdles as a junior...Bettered that time by nearly two seconds to set a new school record with a new personal-best time of 54.36 in the 400-meter hurdles as a senior...As a junior, earned a fourth-place finish at the Monmouth County Championships in the 400-meter hurdles...Named First Team All-Conference in the hurdles...Won the Monmouth County Championships in the 400-meter hurdles as a senior...Came in fourth in the New Jersey Meet of Champions with a new personal-record time of 14.31 in the 110-meter hurdles in his senior year...Led the Braves to a second-place finish at the Monmouth County Championships after scoring winning the 400-meter hurdles, placing second in both the 110-meter hurdles and long jump and finishing fourth in the triple jump for a total of 30 points...Named team Co-MVP as a senior after tallying the most team points scored...A three-time second-place finisher at the conference meet...Team captain.
