Track And Field Opens Outdoor Campaign At Wake Forest

Freshman Kayla Padgett wins first career outdoor event title

2010-11: Participated in three events before his season was cut short by injury ... Captured the event title at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational and captured fourth at the Wake Forest Open ... Still holds the school-record mark of 69.31 meters.

2009-10:Qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships by placing 10th in the NCAA East Regional with a mark of 67.11 meters ... Captured 16th at the national meet with a 64.29-meter throw ... Won the conference title at the C-USA Outdoor Championships with a season-best and school-record mark of 69.31 meters ... In all, picked up four event titles during the season.
