Pirates Enjoy 12 Individual Event Victories at Quad Meet

ECU was paced by a team effort in its second outdoor meet of the year

2012-13 Track & Field: Set the school record in the 20-pound women's weight throw after recording a mark of 20.05m (65-09.75) at the Alex Wilson Invitational for a second-place finish...Previously set the school record with a toss of 20.03m (65-08.75) in the weight throw to win the C-USA Indoor Championships...Earned first-place finishes at the Christopher Newport Invitational (17.16m, 56-03.75) and the Virginia Tech Invitational (18.19m, 59-08.25)...Notched a season-best mark of 13.88m (45-06.50) in the shot put at the Penn State National for an eighth-place finish.

2011-12 Track & Field: Competed in the indoor weight throw and shot put...Notched a season-best mark of 17.48m in the weight throw for a fifth-place showing at the C-USA Indoor Championships...Placed ninth at the C-USA Indoor Championships in the shot put with a season-best mark of 13.88m...Participated in the outdoor shot put, discus and hammer...Tallied a career-best mark of 14.30m in the shot put for a fifth-place finish at the C-USA Outdoor Championships...Won the discus at Wake Forest with a mark of 45.71m...Recorded a season-best mark of 48.82m in the hammer at Florida.

High School: Captured the North Carolina 3A state titles in the discus and shot put while breaking the state record in the shot with a heave of 42 feet and seven inches...Named West Brunswick's Athlete of the Year her final prep campaign...During her junior season, finished second at the state meet in the discus and set school records for the shot put and discus events...Earned a total of eight varsity letters in track and field, basketball and volleyball...Served as a team captain.
