Senior Brittany Copeland Sets Program 6K Record

2011: One of only three Pirates to participate in all seven of the season's meets ... Turned in three top-50 finishes with a high of 13th at the ECU Pirate Invitational ... Began career with a 27:38.8 time, and 89th-place finish, at the 8K Covered Bridge Open ... Timed out in 16:50.7 at the 5K Wolfpack Invitational, good for 42nd overall ... Turned in season's highest finish at the 5K ECU Pirate Invitational with a time of 17:23.53 ... Ran a career-best 27:35.36 8K at the Greater Louisville Classic to earn 214th place ... Took 99th at the Panorama Farms Invitational, finishing the 8K event in 28:55.00 ... In career's initial Conference USA Championship, placed 57th with a 27:56.5 mark ... Ended the season with a personal-low 5K time at the 3 Stripe Red-Shirt Invite, finishing in 16:36 to take home 32nd place.
