Began the year with a 28:52.4 time, and 88th-place showing, at the 8K Covered Bridge Open ... Ran a career-best 5K at the Wolfpack Invitational, finishing in 16:08.7 to claim 26th overall ... Earned seventh place at the ECU Pirate Invitational, completing the 5K in 16:23.85 ... Placed 115th at the 8K Greater Louisville Classic with a time of 26:36.02 ... Two weeks later, ran the 8K Panorama Farms Invitational in 26:54.78 to earn 68th place ... Had career-best 8K performance at the Conference USA Championship, finishing the race in 26:10.1 to claim 33rd ... In a pair of 8K events, took 302nd place (27:32.10/Greater Louisville Classic) and 78th place (27:45.08/Panorama Farms Invitational) ... Ran season-best 8K during first C-USA Championship, completing the race in 26:16 and taking 39th place.

2009: Competed in the first five meets of the season, with top overall finish being 14th at the ECU Pirate Invitational ... In the 4K at the Campbell Invitational, checked in 23rd with a time of 14:40.9 ... In first career 5K, ran a 16:42.24 at the Seahawk Invitational, good for 26th place ... Best 8K time was 27:50 at the ECU Pirate Invitational ... Had two more 8K races, checking in 105th at the Great American Cross Country Festival (29:23) and 128th at the Penn State Nationals (29:59).
