East Carolina (22-11, 4-5) will play host to UCF (21-12, 3-6) in a pivotal three-game Conference USA series for both clubs starting Friday, April 15 at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. (EST).
A pair of right-handers will square off against each other in the series opener as Seth Maness (4-3, 2.40 ERA), the current NCAA active leader in career wins (32), will against Ben Lively (5-0, 2.44 ERA). With potential rain and severe thunderstorms moving into the area this weekend, Saturday's game has been rescheduled for an 11 a.m. start, while Sunday's finale is also scheduled for 11 a.m.
This weekend's series has also been designated as Military Appreciation Weekend. Any active or retired military personnel and their families can receive half-price admission all weekend. Ticket prices are $3 for adults and children (12 and under) are free. The baseball team will wear a special military edition hat on Saturday, April 16 that will be available for fans to purchase at the Dowdy Student Stores Souvenir Booth.
Children are also encouraged to visit the First Flight Credit Union Customer Service Booth to receive a free complimentary gift bag.
