East Carolina (25-12, 6-6) will square off against Houston (19-19, 6-3) Thursday night in the first of three Conference USA games at Cougar Field in Houston, Texas.

The Pirates will send right-hander Mike Wright (4-2, 2.80 ERA) to the hill against right-hander Jared Ray (0-0, 0.00 ERA). In its last five games, ECU's offense is batting .355 with 39 runs on 65 hits and have five players with a .400 batting average or higher.

Jack Reinheimer, who owns a six-game hitting streak, is batting an impressive .542 with four RBI during the five-game span, while Philip Clark has a team-best seven RBI with a .500 average.
