2014 Summer: Split time playing for the Morehead City Marlins (Coastal Plain League) and Lake Norman Copperheads (Southern Collegiate League) … With the Marlins appeared in 15 games making 11 starts where he batted .171 (7-for-41) with two RBI and six runs scores … Made move to Copperheads in early July making debut on July 5 where he went 1-for-2 with a run scored against the Pioneers … Played alongside fellow teammates Cam Snow and Eric Tyler helping the Copperheads claim their second-straight league title … Appeared in seven games batting .278 (5-for-18) with two RBI and three runs scored … In final game of the summer lifted team to a 3-2 walk-off win over the Ballantyne Smokies when he reached on an error … Mid-season all-star selection for the Copperheads, who reached base twice while tossing an inning of relief … On the mound, appeared in eight games during the regular season posting a 2-0 record with a 1.22 ERA and four saves … In 7.1 innings of relief work struck out 10 while walking two.
