GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina junior Tyler Bolton was selected in the 33rd round by the Arizona Diamondbacks Saturday afternoon during the third day of the 2014 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

Bolton was taken with the 990th overall pick and is the fourth Pirate selected in this year's draft behind Jeff Hoffman (No. 9 overall/Toronto Blue Jays), Ryan Williams (10th RD/Chicago Cubs) and Zach Houchins (13th RD/Los Angeles Angles).
