Kyle Robinson is in his third season as the director of basketball operations at East Carolina University. He came to ECU after spending three seasons in the same position at College of Charleston.

While at College of Charleston, Robinson worked under legendary Head Coach Bobby Cremins. In 2008 - 2009, Robinson was part of one of the most successful seasons in school history. The Cougars finished with a 27 - 9 overall record which included a win over South Carolina and a Southern Conference finals appearance. During the 2009 - 2010 season, the Cougars defeated #9 North Carolina. Robinson's time at Charleston also featured Charleston's all time scoring leader Andrew Goudelock who now is currently with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Prior to College of Charleston, Robinson spent three seasons as a graduate assistant to Jeff Lebo at Auburn. While at Auburn, Robinson duties included assisting with team travel, maintaining recruiting database, assisting with on campus recruiting, and supervising team managers.

Before Auburn, Robinson had a year stint as assistant men's basketball coach at Lincoln (Ill.) Christian College where the Preachers won a school-record 21 games en route to the school's first Midwest Regional Championship. Lincoln Christian then advanced to the 2004 National Tournament Final Four.

Robinson began his career as an undergraduate at Gardner-Webb, where he was the head men's basketball manager for four years (1999-2003). The Runnin' Bulldogs were the 2000 South Atlantic Conference Champions and went on to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Robinson has worked numerous NCAA Division I team and individual camps in the Southeast and coached in YMCA summer leagues and youth recreational leagues. The Clover, S.C., native earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Gardner-Webb in 2003. He was a member of the Dean's List and a three-time selection to the President's List. He also holds a master's degree in sports administration from Auburn.

Robinson is married to the former Bobbie Holder of Winston-Salem, N.C. They have a son, Samuel Chase Robinson, born August 17th, 2011.
