ECU Head Coach Ricky Stokes
"For us to be successful, we are going to have to have more than one guy to have a good shooting night. This is a young team trying to find its way. We'll have to continue to work, and continue getting better. For the most part, I think we had some good shots, and we'll try to come back Wednesday."

"[Missed field goals] are kind of like missed free throws; you don't want to make more of it than it has to be. We do have some pretty good shooters on the court. Rice has a few big guys, and I'll give them a lot of credit on defense; they packed it in and forced us to make some shots. Unfortunately, tonight we did not make shots, but hopefully another night we will."

"I told the guys that the biggest thing is to stay together and continue to work. They continue to do those things, and I think they will. They've been delightful to work with. They've been energetic, working hard, and they want to win. I give our staff a lot of credit. They have been upbeat, worked extremely hard, and when it doesn't come together on this particular night, it is frustrating. I give our fans and students a lot of credit. I thought it was a great night, and it felt good to be home. I'm just a little disappointed that we didn't shoot the ball particularly well, but there will be nights that we do shoot well."
