ECU won its third straight game overall and ended its home slate with a fourth consecutive victory.
East Carolina improved to 7-15 all-time against Charlotte, snapping a two-game skid against the 49ers.
The Pirates made 10 or more 3-pointers in a game for the 11th time this season,improving to 8-3 in those games.
ECU finished its home schedule with a 10-6 overall record and a 4-4 mark in Conference USA. The Pirates have won 10 or more games at Minges Coliseum each of the last four seasons, establishing the longest such streak in arena history. The previous longest streak was three consecutive seasons when they won 10 or more games at home from 1968-71.
ECU went to the foul line 28 times, marking the third consecutive game in which they shot 25 or more three free throws. It is 57-of-80 (.713) during its current three game winning streak. The Pirates are 12-1 this season when they shoot 25 or more free throws/
It was the second time in conference play that ECU made more than 20 free throws (21). It also made 29 in the win over UTSA..
The Pirates shot 44.4 percent behind the arc (12-of-27), tying its league-high for 3-pointers. They also made 12 against Southern Miss. ECU improved to 12-2 this year when shooting better than 40 percent from 3.
ECU won by the exact same score, 75-68, against LA Tech last Thursday.
Akeem Richmond made eight 3-pointers to move into 14th-place on the NCAA Division career 3-point field goals made list with 394.
Richmond has scored 535 points this season, fifth-most in a single-season in school history.
Richmond scored 25 or more points in a game for the eighth time in his career and made eight or more 3s for fourth time.
Antonio Robinson matched his career-high with 15 points, scoring double figures for the first time scoring 10 against FIU on Jan. 18. He also had 15 int he games against Mount Olive. Robinson recorded new career-highs for free throws made (7) and attempts (10).
Caleb White became the seventh freshman in school history to make 40 3-pointers in a season. He has made 41 so far this year, fifth-most by a Pirate freshman.
