  ECU Head Coach Jeff Lebo

Opening statement
"This was a terrific win, over a good basketball team. They're a well-coached team and experienced team that went to the NCAA last year with most of those guys back. So congratulations to my team, they beat a good basketball team here tonight.

On the crowd at Minges
"It was unbelievable, again. They were phenomenal the second half. I thought they were great the whole game, but really the second half I thought they were terrific. [Loyola Coach Jimmy Patsos] was just amazed at our crowd, and at our students, so I want to thank them because they were big factors in our energy level tonight."

On the run to pull away
"We were able to get out in transition a little bit more, much like we did the last game. We got stops and were able to get out in transition and got some easy baskets. That's what we have to do. It's hard to manufacture shots at this time of the year just running your half court set. So we've got to manufacture some buckets in another way, and I thought our transition offense in the second half was pretty good."

  Loyola Head Coach Jimmy Patsos

Opening Statement
"We didn't play particularly well, but we battled. We were right there, we just couldn't get it going, and they were a little better than us. Their guards coming up the ball screen were better. Kemp had 20, and I knew if he had 20 we were going to lose. So it was a great experience for us, but I'm telling you Jeff Lebo is to be commended for being ahead of the pace and doing a great job."

"We have some good talent, but they were better tonight. They have better offense than we do."

On the job Jeff Lebo is doing at ECU
"Jeff Lebo is doing a great job here. I know how hard it is when everybody just talks about those other two schools. What he is doing here is creating a great atmosphere at East Carolina, but there is a little buzz through the state. You should be proud. You've got the right guy and that was a great atmosphere."
