  ECU Head Coach Jeff Lebo

Opening statement
"That was fun and maybe the best we've played all year. We played terrific tonight with a lot of energy. Defensively we were alert, and did a great job at all spots. We made it really tough on (Colt) Ryan tonight. I thought Paris was outstanding. He did a terrific job of guarding him. He's one of my best-conditioned guys and he was exhausted at the end of the game. Twice during the game he gave me a tired signal from having to defend him (Ryan). We rebounded the ball pretty well for the most part. I thought offensively we were pretty solid, particularly in transition. We had good balance today. Ty (Armstrong) was outstanding in the second half. Robert (Sampson) was terrific. Everybody played a hand in this one. Our crowd was unbelievable. I heard we had to turn people away. That stuns me."

On earning a spot in the championship game at home
"We couldn't have had a better ending to it all. For our seniors, for the guys that'll keep playing. They've all been terrific. They've really wanted to play in the postseason. They've really been dialed in, excited and worked hard."

On Kemp and the team's overall performance
"Maurice (Kemp) was dialed in. He was running, jumping and scoring. He was really active; our entire team was active. We didn't shoot the ball from three very well and we haven't really done that here at home, so we've found other ways to win. I'm really happy for our program, kids, and for our fans. It's been a lot of fun. I'm just worried, you have senior night, which was a special night when we got to play Marshall. Then you have a chance to host a home game, and then another, and another, and you never want to leave on a bad note at home. We're didn't do that. We left on a real positive note. Hopefully that will carry on into Tuesday."

  Senior Forward Maurice Kemp

On the history making season
"That's something me and Miguel have talked about countless times. We wanted to make a name for East Carolina basketball. That's been our main goal. We all focused and spent this whole season grinding it out and we're able to make history this year. It's something to be very proud of; I'm proud of my teammates, my coaches but at the same token we have another game to play. We look to bring a championship back to Greenville."

On playing in Minges
"It's incredible; it's been an incredible run, an incredible ride. We have the best fans in the nation and to be able to close it out on a win like this is, it's incredible. I love Pirate Nation. This has been the best two years of my life."

  Senior Guard Miguel Paul

On having to go play on the road
"We're pretty good with it. Our coaches get our mindsets right the night before the game. We're going to enjoy this one until midnight and then come back in tomorrow. We know that Pirate Nation will be here at home supporting us, so we'll just take that spirit on the road with us."

On the fun of throwing alley-oop passes
"I get as much of a good feeling as they do catching it as for me throwing it. It's not an easy pass for [Kemp] to be running full speed and for me to see him so I love having guys finish for me and make my job easy."
