  • The Pirates won their 22nd consecutive game against Carolinas Conference opponents.
  • ECU won its 11th consecutive season opener at home. Its last season-opening loss at home was 1989.
  • Senior Brock Young was not in the starting lineup for the first time since his freshman season. Young had started 61 consecutive games.
  • It's 28-point margin of victory was its largest since 2003 when ECU defeated Campbell, 93-54, to open the campaign.
