  • East Carolina is 2-0 for the first time since the 2004-05 season when it defeated Pepperdine and Oregon State to reach the finals of the BCA Invitational.
  • ECU has won four consecutive home gates dating back to last season, its longest since winning its first seven home games of the 2003-04 season.
  • The Pirates won their 18th consecutive game against Carolinas Conference Opponents and improved to 19-1 all-time against league members.
  • The Pirates' 94 points were their most since scoring 100 against UNC Pembroke on Nov. 25, 2003
  • The 36-point margin of victory was the largest since beating UNC Pembroke by 41, 100-59, on Nov. 25, 2003.
  • Five players scored double figures for the first time since defeating SMU, 82-54, last season (Feb. 27, 2008).
  • It's 52.2 shooting percentage was its best under Coach McCarthy. ECU shot over 50 percent in just two games last season.
  • Its 26 assists were its most under McCarthy, one than than it accumulated in last year's win over SMU (Feb. 27, 2008).
  • East Carolina used the starting lineup of Brock Young, James Legan, Chad Wynn, Jamar Abrams and Sam Hinnant for a second consecutive game.

    Senior Sam Hinnant

  • Moved into a tie for seventh place on the East Carolina career 3-point field goals made list with 139.
  • He is the only player to score double figures in each of the first two games of the season.

    Senior James Legan

  • Netted 20 points to tie his career-high set against UCF last season (Feb. 7, 2008).

    Sophomore Daquan Joyner

    • Scored double figures for the first time with a career-high 13 points. He also played a career-best 21 minutes.

    Freshman Darrius Morrow

  • Recorded the first double-double of his career, tallying double digit points (15) and rebounds (10) for the first time each.
