East Carolina Head Coach Jeff Lebo
Opening Statement
"It was a god win for our team. I was getting worried about this game, hoping the guys weren't looking ahead to play NC State on Saturday. I thought VMI played awfully well; they can flat out score the ball and they shot it very well tonight. Typically when they shoot the ball that well they'll beat some people, and they have in the past. It was an offensive show out there; it wasn't a defensive battle. I was proud of the way that we executed the offensive game plan. We didn't want to get trapped into shooting really quick shots at the end of the press unless they were layups or 3s from Akeem -- we gave him some freedom to shoot the ball at the end. We moved it from side to side, and got some opportunities to drive the ball. We got to the free throw line a lot, and we shot almost 80 percent from the foul line which was really key for us tonight."

On Caleb White and Prince Williams' performances
"They were, and you can add Zangari into the mix there; I thought he had a terrific first half. We really won the game tonight with Paris and Akeem shooting 7 of 24. Caleb scored 24 points on six shot attempts, Prince didn't miss a shot all night, and Brandon Stith had another double double. We had nice balance with six of the seven guys getting double figures."

On playing seven guys
"Each win is so important for us. I love the guys. They're great kids to coach and they work hard. I feel for them because it's just so demanding to try to do this with seven guys for a whole year. We really have to be careful with them in practice. You want to do so much to teach them because they are so young, but you can't be on the floor that long, or they won't have any legs to play the game. They are really giving me everything that they've got, and that's all you can ask for as a coach. We've got to get better in some areas, and we will. But they're a fun group to coach, and they try to listen and do what we ask them to do. I look at them out there and they're just kids trying their hardest to do what we ask them to do, and it's okay if they make mistakes sometimes."

Freshman Caleb White
On the team's efficiency "We had good ball movement. Coach really preached getting it to the third side and once you got it to the third side, you would have places to attack because you would have sloppy closeouts. We knew we could attack once we had good ball movement."

On the emphasis on rebounding
"Coach is always on us about the rebounding, practicing so many rebounding drills and toughness drills. I'm glad we really relayed that into the game tonight."

On his offensive performance
"Being surrounded by so many great teammates, they make way for a lot of opportunities out there, a lot of open shots. Penetration by Prince, Akeem and Paris with open shots and driving the lane - it's a team effort."

Sophomore Prince Williams
On his performance tonight "Offensively I wanted to stay aggressive as coach said, trying to get side to side and attack."

On not getting caught up in their pace of play
"I think for the most part I think we controlled the pace of the game."
