GREENVILLE, N.C. --- Fans will have their first chance to get a look at the 2005-06 East Carolina men and women's basketball teams Saturday, Oct. 22, at the annual "Meet The Pirates" luncheon inside Harvey Hall located on the second floor of the Murphy Center.
Pirate fans are invited to join the head coaches Ricky Stokes and Sharon Baldwin-Tener, along with assistant coaches and student-athletes for a catered meal beginning at 1 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Advanced reservations are required and must be made by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20.
Following the luncheon, fans will have the opportunity to obtain autographs and take pictures with members of both teams.
Fans can catch a glimpse of the 2005-06 Pirates beginning at 12 p.m., as the final hour of men's basketball practice will be open to the public.
Representatives from the ECU sports marketing department and ticket office will be on hand during the final hour of practice to assist those who wish to choose their seats for the 2005-06 season and purchase season tickets. Anyone who places a new season ticket order at this time will be entered into a drawing to win an autographed basketball by coaches Stokes and Baldwin-Tener.
Fans will also have the opportunity to take in the first hour of women's basketball practice beginning at 2 p.m.

The Lady Pirates take the floor for the first time in 2005-06 on Nov. 8 as they host Berry College in an exhibition game, while the men's team hosts North Carolina Central in an exhibition game on Nov. 12.
