Sophomore Belton Rivers scored a game-high 22 points to lead the "Gold" to a 55-44 win over the "Purple" in an abbreviated intrasquad scrimmage inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum on Saturday.

Rivers was 8-of-12 from the field, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc, and a perfect 4-for-4 at the foul line. Junior Moussa Badiane added 11 points and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds for the "Gold", while blocking four shots.

Freshman Mike Cook (11) and sophomore Corey Rouse (9) combined for 20 points for Gold. Rouse was also very active on the glass, collecting 10 rebounds.

Seniors Derrick Wiley and Gabriel Mikulas combined to score 32 of the Purple's 44 points. Wiley led Purple with 17 points, while a Mikulas adding 15 points on 3-of-8 shooting from the field and 10-of-11 at the foul line.

The Pirates will host their final exhibition game of the season on Thursday, Nov. 13 against the Charlotte Stars. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
