An athletic, physically strong and mobile performer who is East Carolina's only returning starter in the secondary to open the 2014 campaign ... Completed spring drills entrenched as the Pirates' top boundary cornerback heading into his senior year ... Rise on the unit's two-deep followed two campaigns of limited action, mostly on special teams units as a freshman and sophomore ... Opened spring scrimmage action with a tackle and pass breakup on March 31 ... Added another stop and batted pass during the Purple-Gold Game on April 12 to close out work ... Has thrived in ECU's strength and conditioning program, producing top lifts of 355 pounds (bench press), 485 (back squat), 275 (push jerk) and a positional-record of 341 in the power clean during the spring testing period... Owns one of the top broad jumps in the program at 10'7" and has a flexibility score of 14.5 and pro-shuttle time of 4.03, which rank among the top 10 percent as well.
2013: Experienced action in all 13 contests as a junior and made nine starts at the boundary cornerback position ... Opened year as Josh Hawkins' backup, but took job over on a full-time basis prior to the Southern Miss game (Oct. 19) ... Booked 40 stops (25 solo) with 1.5 TFLs for minus one yard ... Added three pass breakups (two vs. Tulsa, one vs. North Carolina) and one QBH (USM) ... Twenty-four of 40 tackles were on pass plays ranking fourth on the unit ... Posted four or more tackles six times and had at least one stop in 12 of 13 contests ... Credited with a career-high six hits during regular season finale at Marshall ... 2012: Appeared in four games during sophomore season, experiencing action against North Carolina, UTEP, UAB and Navy ... Logged only tackle on a pass play as a member of the secondary against North Carolina at Kenan Stadium.
2011: Did not experience any game action, but again served as a member of the scout teams.
2010: Spent time on the scout teams while redshirting during initial season at ECU ... Officially signed with Ruffin McNeill's program in February.
High School: A three-year varsity starter for coach Luke Little ... 14-yard touchdown run with 44 seconds left gave the Rebel Bulls a 19-12 opening-round 1A playoff win over Lakewood in 2009 ...
