Reporting Day: 2012 Preseason Camp Opens For Pirates

East Carolina Returns 15 Starters, 48 Lettermen

Blazing speed, agility and quick assignment grasp in Pirates' offensive scheme has allowed for continued depth chart inclusion as a top reserve at the "Z" outside receiving position behind Davon Grayson heading into his second full season on ECU's active roster ... Has enjoyed rapid ascend on unit's two-deep after earning a roster position as a walk-on in the fall of 2012 ...Could also experience action on various special teams squads ... Began spring scrimmage season with two catches for nine yards on March 31 ... Caught another three passes for 35 yards, including a seven-yard TD strike from Kurt Benkert, a week later in the second intra-squad tilt ... Enjoyed a three-catch, 47-yard, one-touchdown effort during the Purple-Gold Game on April 12 ... Was on receiving end of a 30-yard scoring toss from backup quarterback Jason Connella in spring finale ...
