Pre-2010 bio - A speedy, exciting big-play receiver who has demonstrated a knack for providing late-season reassuring lifts to a thin wide receivers position in each of the last two seasons ... Brings plenty of quickness, acceleration and verticality to the ECU offensive unit and could again serve as one of the Pirates' top deep threats in '10 if a successful catch-up period in preseason camp is accomplished (due to missed time during spring drills) ... Will open junior campaign vying for a spot on the unit's depth chart among a large and talented group of pass catchers ... Recorded three receptions for 20 yards and picked up five yards on one rush during the first scrimmage April 3, but was excused for the remainder of spring drills by head coach Ruffin McNeil to focus on academic responsibilities (and did not experience additional and valuable practice or game action to acclimate to new offensive scheme).

Played in all 14 games and made six starts (Memphis, Virginia Tech, Tulsa, UAB, Southern Miss and Houston), all in succession beginning in mid-season ... Made 42 catches (6.0 rpg) for 662 yards (15.8 ypr) and three TDs in the last seven games after averaging less than one grab (0.9) in the first seven contests (6-56, 9.3 ypr, 0 TD) ... Authored three 100-yard receiving performances with 116, a career-high 152 and 118-yard efforts against Memphis, Tulsa and UAB, respectively ... Also snared scoring passes against Tigers (31-yarder), Golden Hurricane (37) and Blazers (59) ... Opened campaign with a three catches for 20 yards vs. Appalachian State but was held without a reception in four of the next six games ... Broke out with a five-catch, 116-yard outing at Memphis in a nationally-televised Conference USA matchup ... Followed with four grabs (50 yards) vs. Virginia Tech in another ESPN battle before establishing career highs in receptions (eight) and yardage (152) at Tulsa, again in front of nationally television audience ... Matched personal best with another eight-catch (83 yards) effort vs. Southern Miss to help Pirates clinch the C-USA East Division title ... Added seven catches and 118 yards against UAB a week earlier ... Hauled in four passes for 49 yards against Houston in the C-USA Championship Game before narrowly missing a fourth triple-digit performance against Arkansas in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl ... Racked up 94 yards on six catches vs. the Razorbacks, including a long of 38 in the second quarter that set up a first-and-goal at the three-yard line ... Also recorded two rushing attempts for two yards ... Picked up nine yards on a carry vs. Hokies after getting nabbed for a seven-yard loss on a similar play earlier in the season at North Carolina ... Had one punt return for -4 yards (Southern Miss).

2008: Emerged as one of the Pirates' top pass catchers during redshirt freshman campaign ... Played in all 14 games and made one start (at Southern Miss) ... Stood fifth on unit with 22 catches for 352 yards and a pair of touchdowns (UTEP, Kentucky) ... Averaged 16.0 yards per grab ... Split top punt return duties with Dwayne Harris, bringing back a co-team-high 13 boots for 95 yards (7.3 ypr) ... Earned East Carolina Offensive MVP honors against Kentucky in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl with 112 reception yards and one touchdown (career-long 80-yarder from Pinkney) ... In all, made five catches vs. Wildcats to match a then personal best (also had five vs. UTEP in regular season finale) ... Turned in other triple-digit performance against Miners with 106 receiving yards, which included a 32-yard scoring catch in the first quarter ... Other multiple catch efforts came against UAB (4-36), Tulane (2-36) and Southern Miss (2-16) ... Made first collegiate reception against Tulane in the Superdome during second quarter action (nine yards) before following with a pivotal 27-yarder late in the fourth quarter during ECU's game-winning drive ... Only catch vs. Tulsa in the Conference USA Championship Game was a 21-yard effort on a second-and-seven play during the Pirates' first possession of the contest ... Was program's top backup at the "Z" wide receiver position behind Alex Taylor for most of the season ...Top punt return number was four vs. UCF while top yardage was compiled at N.C. State (2-24, with a career-long of 25) ... Also had multiple returns vs. Memphis (3-21) and Houston (2-21).
