A physical and potential impact-producing defender who should be at 100 percent heading into preseason camp after battling back from a season-ending injury last August ... Opened spring drills with limited-contact restrictions after an extensive six-month rehabilitation period, but rapid progression enabled scrimmage participation during latter weeks of the practice schedule ... Credited with a sack (-8 yards) during the second intra-squad battle on April 7 before registering one tackle in the Purple-Gold Game on April 14 ... Despite injury and overall delay in development, still included on the preseason defensive two-deep as a top reserve at one of the defensive end positions behind Matt Milner ... Participated in partial testing with ECU's strength and conditioning program, and turned in lifts of note in the bench press (400 pounds) and power clean (318).

2011: Missed the entire campaign due to a lower right leg injury suffered in post-practice conditioning during fall camp on Aug. 19 - just one day after his clearance to participate as a member of the program.

Junior College: A Region IV All-California First Team Defense selection by the Board of Directors of the California Community College Football Coaches Association at the end of his sophomore season ... Recorded 43 total tackles, including 19 solo hits during second year with the program ... Also booked 16.5 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries as a sophomore ... Forced two fumbles and recovered one in final campaign with the Pirates ... Named the Southern California Football Association's Defensive Player-of-the-Week for Oct. 19 (2010), after guiding Ventura to a 28-21 victory over Cerritos ... Made five tackles, three for a loss, four quarterback hurries and a pair of sacks while adding a fumble recovery against Cerritos ... During first year, collected 53 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery ... Has been timed at 4.6 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
