A talented and multi-versatile athlete who will continue to compete for a two-deep position at wide receiver during his second active season in the Pirate program ... Originally signed as a quarterback, and spent true freshman campaign on scout squad as signal-caller before move to a wide-out role prior to the start of spring drills in 2008 ... Brings plenty of big game experience and a winning background to the ECU program after successful prep career at one of the nation's top high school programs ... After not recording a pass reception in first two spring scrimmages (4/4 and 4/8), made one catch for 16 yards during the Purple-Gold Game.

2008: First collegiate action came in the home opener against No. 8 West Virginia ... In all, played in six games (WVU, Tulane, N.C. State, Houston, Virginia and Memphis) before an injury forced him to the sidelines for the remainder of the year ... Did not produce any receiving statistics but was credited with one tackle as a special teams member in contest vs. the Wolfpack ... Did not play in final seven games because of a leg injury.

2007: Redshirted during initial season in ECU program ... Officially signed with Skip Holtz' program in February, 2007.

High School: A two-year starter who earned a pair of all-state selections as a junior and senior at Independence High School ... Helped guide the Patriots to back-to-back state titles as their starting quarterback with identical 16-0 records ... Engineered offensive unit that produced 45.4 points per contest during Independence's five-game post-season schedule which resulted in a 49-19 win over Riverside in the championship game at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham ... Completed 13-of-20 passes for 159 yards against Riverside, which also included a 13-yard TD pass in the opening quarter, to earn offensive player-of-the-game honors ... Overall, completed 143-of-278 passes for 2,271 yards and 15 touchdowns during senior season which included a No. 1 state rank and a No. 9 national rank according to USA Today ... Accounted for 3,877 air yards and 33 touchdowns on 230-of-464 passing (49.6 percent) as a junior in 2005 ... Named to the Charlotte Observer's all-conference and all-area teams ...
