Remains a highly-regarded local product who brings plenty of speed, athleticism and tenacity to the Pirates' front seven ... Closed spring work listed as the projected starter at the "sam" outside linebacking position ... Many inside the program feel if development continues at its current rate, especially as a full-time starter, contention for postseason conference honors could be realized ... A Preseason All-American Athletic Conference (third team) selection by Phil Steele's College Football Preview Magazine... Has played in 21 career games with three starts ... Has logged at least one tackle in every collegiate contest played and has tallied multiple stops on 16 occasions ... Has fully bounced back from a left knee injury that sidetracked a potential award-winning campaign as a rookie... Booked three tackles, two of which were sacks, during the first spring scrimmage on March 31 ...
