Head Football Coach Ruffin McNeill Discusses The Start Of Spring Practice

A sizable and quick prospect with an unlimited ceiling of potential according to coaching staff ... Will open first active campaign on the East Carolina roster vying for depth chart placement at one of the defensive end slots ... Could also experience heightened role up front on various special teams squad in order to get added playing time ... Already has two spring seasons under his belt after reporting early in 2013 ... Opened 2014 drills with a tackle in each of the first two scrimmages (March 31, April 5) before closing out drills with three stops during the Purple-Gold Game (April 12) ... Development in the Pirates' strength and conditioning program is also on steady incline ...
